The IMF sees positive changes in the Algerian economy, for how long?
Budrigannews.com – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated on Monday that while higher energy costs have “materially improved” the near-term outlook for the Algerian economy, fiscal rebalancing is still required to stabilize public finances.
Following the conclusion of Article IV talks in Algiers, the IMF stated that continued progress on structural reforms would help to diversify the economy and encourage job creation, and that tighter monetary policy was required to control inflation.
