Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.55%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.55%, while the index declined 1.38%, and the index fell 0.93%.

The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.35% or 0.21 points to trade at 9.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 1.20% or 0.26 points to end at 21.92 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) was up 0.94% or 1.50 points to 161.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Puma SE (ETR:), which fell 5.54% or 3.36 points to trade at 57.30 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:) declined 4.01% or 5.70 points to end at 136.60 and Brenntag AG (ETR:) was down 2.54% or 1.74 points to 66.78.

The top performers on the MDAX were Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which rose 11.39% to 28.36, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was up 2.56% to settle at 6.25 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.52% to close at 7.98.

The worst performers were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was down 6.69% to 22.18 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which lost 5.80% to settle at 45.28 and Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which was down 5.71% to 136.25 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Vantage Towers AG (ETR:) which rose 11.39% to 28.36, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was up 0.19% to settle at 19.09 and Suse SA (ETR:) which unchanged 0.00% to close at 19.70.

The worst performers were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 4.04% to 65.25 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.70% to settle at 52.00 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was down 3.53% to 19.68 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 435 to 233 and 92 ended unchanged.

Shares in Puma SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.54% or 3.36 to 57.30. Shares in Adidas AG (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.01% or 5.70 to 136.60. Shares in Kion Group AG (ETR:) fell to all time lows; down 6.69% or 1.59 to 22.18. Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.70% or 2.00 to 52.00.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.83% to 26.47.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.95% or 33.35 to $1,675.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.32% or 2.94 to hit $85.54 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 3.03% or 2.85 to trade at $91.25 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP rose 0.69% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 109.28.
