Budrigannews.com – According to a court filing from Tuesday, the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX is attempting to indemnify unidentified individuals for actions they took and continue to take in connection with assets that make up a significant portion of the company’s estate.
At the beginning of a bankruptcy case, it is unusual to receive sealed indemnification requests.FTX stated that it was in contact with bankruptcy court officials and U.S. regulators, but it did not mention Bahamas regulators.
The company stated that “cyber-attacks and other malicious activity” could be avoided by keeping the details of its indemnification request confidential for the time being.
