EU expects gas shortage in 2023-IEA
Budrigannews.com – The European Commission and the International Energy Agency stated on Monday that although the European Union has secured sufficient gas for this winter, it may experience a gas shortage the following year if Russia continues to reduce supplies.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, stated at a press conference, “Despite the action that we have taken, we might still face a gap of up to 30 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas next year,” citing data from the International Energy Agency that will be released on Monday.
