Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.78%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which rose 7.78% or 1,240.00 points to trade at 17,180.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 7.11% or 1,145.00 points to end at 17,255.00 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was up 5.35% or 17.80 points to 350.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 9.75% or 52.60 points to trade at 487.00 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 1.40% or 3.80 points to end at 267.10 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 1.16% or 9.60 points to 821.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 93 to 51 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 5.77% or 5.69 to $104.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 5.39% or 5.43 to hit $106.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 3.50 to trade at $1,740.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.26% to 7.33, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 106.91.
