Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.67%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 3.49% or 615.00 points to trade at 18,260.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 3.02% or 520.00 points to end at 17,750.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 2.02% or 16.00 points to 810.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 2.14% or 11.60 points to trade at 530.80 at the close. DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) declined 1.99% or 22.50 points to end at 1,105.50 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was down 1.95% or 2.05 points to 103.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 95 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.99% or 22.50 to 1,105.50.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.89% or 1.90 to $102.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.14% or 2.24 to hit $106.88 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.50 to trade at $1,977.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.85, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 100.05.
