Cemex, or CEMEX S.A.B. de C.V., is a multinational building materials company with headquarters in San Pedro, Mexico, near Monterrey. In more than fifty nations, it produces and sells cement, ready-mix concrete, and aggregates. It produced 87.09 million tonnes of cement annually, making it the fifth largest cement company in the world in 2020.
Until his passing on May 21, 2014, Lorenzo Zambrano served as the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. Rogelio Zambrano Lozano was appointed chairman by the Board of Directors, and Fernando A. Gonzalez was appointed CEO.
The company gets about a quarter of its sales from its operations in Mexico, a third from its plants in the United States, 30 percent from its operations in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and the rest from its other global locations.

San Pedro Garza Garca, a city in the Monterrey metropolitan area in the Nuevo León state in the northeast of Mexico, is home to the global headquarters of the company.
