Will Trump agree to return to Facebook
Budrigannews.com – (NASDAQ:) Facebook The Financial Times reported on Sunday that owner Meta Inc is getting ready to say whether or not it will allow former US President Donald Trump to rejoin Facebook and Instagram.
The giant of social media had previously stated that by January 7, it would decide whether or not to allow the former president to return. According to a source familiar with the situation, the newspaper stated that that decision is now anticipated to be made later in the month.
According to those who are familiar with Meta’s operations, the company has established a working group to address the issue. The report also stated that the group includes staff members from the content policy team as well as the public policy and communications teams.
Meta didn’t promptly answer a solicitation by Reuters for input.
The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, polled users before lifting a permanent ban on Trump in November of last year. This new development follows suit.
Trump maintained that he would not take to Twitter again.
When asked by a panel at the annual leadership meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition whether he planned to return to Twitter, the former president responded via video, “I don’t see any reason for it.”
Since his defeat in the 2020 election, Trump has relentlessly attacked the integrity of voting in the United States. In November, he also launched a bid to regain the presidency in 2024 with the intention of avoiding potential Republican rivals.
