Why Tesla announced discounts on cars?

Budrigannews.com – Has offered limits on its Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles (EVs), filling concerns it is likewise encountering an interest issue.

The electric vehicle manufacturer offers a credit of $7,500 in the United States and a credit of $5,000 in Canada on Model 3 and Model Y vehicles with a delivery date before the end of the year, according to its website. In addition, Tesla is providing free supercharging for ten thousand miles.

Analysts and investors have become increasingly concerned that Tesla is experiencing a decline in demand while the company struggles to expand its factories in Berlin and Texas. Today, Tesla’s China head Tom Zhu was sent to the United States to address production issues, according to Reuters.

In October, the maker of electric vehicles issued a warning that it very likely won’t meet its delivery goal this year. Recent price reductions by Tesla in China and the United States prompted some sell-side analysts to lower their price targets due to lower volumes and CEO Elon Musk’s Twitter woes.

ETR: Deutsche Bank Yesterday, analysts decreased Tesla’s Q4 delivery estimates, which led them to reduce the price target from $355 to $270.

“We continue to expect challenging headlines around demand softening and associated price cuts beyond the quarter,” the analysts wrote in a client note. “However, we think the company remains best positioned to weather the current macroeconomic conditions, leveraging price to support volume growth and various cost levers in place to protect margins.”

Yesterday, Tesla stock fell 0.17 percent to $137.57, closing at a new 52-year low.
