Budrigannews.com – On Monday, armed men opened fire inside a hotel in central Kabul that was popular with Chinese nationals, killing at least three of the attackers.
Officials on both sides of the border reported that cross-border shelling and gunfire between Afghanistan and Pakistan resulted in the deaths of one Afghan soldier and six civilians from Pakistan. Both sides blamed the other for starting the fighting.
Officials said that gunfire was fired at Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul, wounding a Pakistani security guard. Islamabad said it was an attempt to kill its head of mission, who was unharmed.
