Which is one of the most significant private banks in the world?
Budrigannews.com – According to the most recent rankings that were released on Monday by the Financial Stability Board of the G20, JP Morgan continues to be the most systemically important bank in the world.
After the global financial crisis more than a decade ago, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) initiated the annual rankings, requiring the largest lenders in the world to maintain an additional buffer of capital calibrated across five “buckets” and to undergo stricter operational scrutiny.
JP Morgan remains in bucket 2, as no other company has the highest capital requirements.
“The list’s 30 banks are the same as the list from 2021.One bank on the list, Bank of America (NYSE:), has moved up a bucket.has been upgraded to bucket 3,” the FSB stated in a statement.
The FSB stated that this year’s calibration of rankings involving European banks recognized cross-border exposures within the banking union of the European Union.
