War in Ukraine result of Russia’s existence-Putin
By Ray Johnson
Budrigannews.com – President Vladimir Putin said he was forced to take into account NATO’s nuclear capabilities and described the conflict with the West over the Ukraine war as an existential struggle for Russia and the Russian people’s survival.
Putin is increasingly portraying the war as a turning point in Russian history a year after directing the invasion of Ukraine and asserting that he believes the very future of Russia and its people is in jeopardy.
“All they want is: in an interview recorded on Wednesday and released on Sunday, Putin stated to Rossiya 1 state television, “to disband the former Soviet Union and its fundamental part, the Russian Federation.”
NATO and the West reject this narrative, claiming that their goal is to assist Ukraine in its defense against an unprovoked attack.
According to Putin, the West wanted to divide Russia and then control the world’s largest raw material producer, a move that could well result in the demise of many Russians, including the ethnic Russian majority.
Putin stated, “I even do not know if such an ethnic group as the Russian people will be able to survive in the form in which it exists now.” He said that the West’s plans had been written down, but he didn’t say where.
While President Joe Biden has warned that a conflict between Russia and NATO could start World War Three, he has also stated that Putin should not remain in power. The United States has denied that it wants to destroy Russia.
Putin stated that the tens of billions of dollars in military aid provided to Ukraine by the United States and Europe demonstrated that Russia was now confronting NATO itself, the Cold War nightmare of Western and Soviet leaders.
Ukraine declares that it will not relent until each and every Russian soldier is driven out of Ukraine, including from the 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia.
The 70-year-old Kremlin chief’s existential framing of the conflict enables him to prepare the Russian people for a much more in-depth conflict and significantly expands his options for weaponry.
The official nuclear doctrine of Russia permits the use of nuclear weapons if conventional weapons or other forms of weapons of mass destruction are used against it, putting “the very existence of the state” in danger.
Unless the West backs off in Ukraine, Putin has indicated that he is prepared to tear up the framework of nuclear arms control, including the moratorium on nuclear testing imposed by the major powers.
He attempted to emphasize Russian resolve in Ukraine on Tuesday by suspending a significant nuclear arms control treaty, announcing the deployment of new strategic systems in combat, and announcing that Moscow might resume nuclear tests.
Putin stated that Russia would not resume discussions until British and French nuclear weapons were also considered.
The largest stockpile of nuclear warheads in the world is held by Russia, which inherited the Soviet Union’s nuclear arsenal. According to the Federation of American Scientists, it has more warheads than the United States, France, and Britain put together.
“How can we ignore their nuclear capabilities in these conditions, when all of the leading NATO nations have declared that their primary goal is to inflict a strategic defeat on us, so that our people suffer as they say?” Putin stated
According to Putin, the Russian people’s unity was the most significant outcome of the previous year.
