Budrigannews.com – President Vladimir Putin said he was forced to take into account NATO’s nuclear capabilities and described the conflict with the West over the Ukraine war as an existential struggle for Russia and the Russian people’s survival.
As it adopted its tenth package of sanctions against Russia on Saturday, one day after the first anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, the European Union pledged to increase pressure on Moscow “until Ukraine is liberated.”

Only China and Russia declined to sign a joint statement signed by finance ministers of the world’s largest economies, which strongly criticized Moscow for its war on Ukraine on Saturday.
Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, announced on Saturday that he will travel to China at the beginning of April in part to ask China for assistance in putting an end to Russia’s invasion.
The anniversary of the invasion was commemorated by the United States by providing Kyiv with $2 billion in weapons and imposing new sanctions on Russia to hinder Moscow’s ability to wage war.
A senior official was quoted as saying on Saturday that Belarus, a small ally of Russia that borders Ukraine, has as many as 1.5 million potential military personnel outside of its armed forces.
According to a statement made on Saturday by Daniel Obajtek, chief executive officer of Polish refiner PKN Orlen, Russia has halted oil deliveries to Poland via the Druzhba pipeline.
After months of interruptions caused by bombings, the energy minister stated on Saturday that Ukraine has been able to amass some power reserves and plans no more outages to ration electricity if there are no new Russian strikes.
