Volkswagen expects sales growth in 2023

Budrigannews.com – (ETR) Volkswagen, On Friday, Europe’s largest automaker stated that it anticipates an increase in revenues as well as vehicle deliveries in 2023. The company cited a substantial order backlog, an improvement in chip shortages, and issues with the supply chain as factors.
On the news, the company’s shares rose 7% to the top of the Frankfurt benchmark.
According to the company, vehicle deliveries are anticipated to rise from 8.26 million last year to around 9.5 million in 2023. It is anticipated that sales will rise by 10-15% in 2023, resulting in sales of between $326 and $352 billion.
Refinitiv estimates that sales will reach 280 billion euros in 2023.
Dividends will go up by 1.20 euros per share, to 8.70 euros for ordinary shares and 8.76 euros for preferred shares, respectively.
In a statement, Volkswagen’s finance chief Arno Antlitz stated, “We expect the supply chain bottlenecks to gradually ease in the current year, allowing us to service the high order backlog.”
