USTR Tai announced cooperation with African trade Area
Budrigannews.com – On Monday, U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai said that her agency is getting ready to sign a memorandum of understanding with countries in the African Continental Free Trade Area to look into working on the next stages of the trade relationship between the United States and Africa.
At the Semafor Africa Summit, Tai stated that she sees opportunities to enhance the enduring trade preference system established by the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which will come to an end in 2025.
