US will pay Ukraine additional assistance from taxpayers’ money
Budrigannews.com – U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen announced on Tuesday that the distribution of $4.5 billion in economic assistance to Ukraine will begin in the coming weeks.
Yellen said in a statement that the funds, which were included in the stop-gap government funding bill in September, were intended to “bolster economic stability and support core government services.” She also said that other donors should increase and accelerate their assistance to Ukraine as it defends against Russia’s invasion.
