US respects the sovereignty of Ukraine
Budrigannews.com – The White House’s national security spokesman stated that the United States respects Ukrainian sovereignty, including decisions regarding how Kiev uses weapons supplied by Washington. However, the United States has communicated to Ukraine its concerns regarding any escalation of the war with Russia.
“We have consistently expressed our concerns regarding escalation. John Kirby (NYSE:) stated, “We have not encouraged them to do that.” told reporters on Wednesday, following what appeared to be strikes by Ukrainian drones on two airbases deep within Russia.
According to Kirby, “unlike the Russians, we respect Ukrainian sovereignty” was the driving force behind the war in Ukraine.
“A weapon system is theirs when we give it to them. “We respect the decisions made by Ukraine regarding where, how, and how much ammunition they use that system,” he stated.
He said that the United States has discussed accountability for weapons systems with Ukraine and has made it clear that the United States is concerned about the war getting out of hand. However, in the end, these are Ukrainian choices that must be made.”
