US Cyber Official Declares Danger from Tik Tok

Budrigannews.com – On Monday, the head of the cybersecurity directorate at the National Security Agency of the United States stated that TikTok poses a “strategic issue” rather than an immediate “tactical” threat to the nation.

Talking at a strategy meeting in Northern California, Burglarize Joyce, head of online protection for the covert operative organization, repeated the organization’s previous place that the Chinese-possessed person to person communication application is likened to a “stacked weapon” that the Chinese government could use to impact what data Americans see.

“Why would you bring the Trojan horse inside the fortress?” a person asked. During the conference, Joyce stated.

According to Joyce, China might be able to suppress information that might make the United States look bad by using its influence over TikTok.

His remarks echo previous warnings made by the director of the National Security Agency, Paul Nakasone, and the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Christopher Wray, to lawmakers in the United States that TikTok could be used to carry out extensive influence campaigns.

President Joe Biden of the United States has indicated that he is in favor of legislation that has been proposed by a dozen senators and would grant him the authority to ban TikTok and other foreign technologies if they pose a threat to national security.

Members of the U.S. House of Representatives questioned TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew about the app’s data-handling practices last week, indicating a growing bipartisan concern regarding the app’s 150 million U.S. users. Chew repeatedly denied that the app shares data or has connections to the Chinese Communist Party during his testimony.
