US calls for an investigation into murder children in Nigeria
Budrigannews.com – On Tuesday, the U.S. military urged Nigeria to conduct an independent investigation into claims made by Reuters that the Nigerian army killed children fighting insurgents.
A statement from a Pentagon spokesperson stated, “The Department of Defense is concerned by the allegations reported in the Reuters article, and we join our colleagues from the State Department in urging the Government of Nigeria to conduct an independent investigation.”

The spokesperson went on to say that at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit this week, the military of the United States had neither scheduled nor planned meetings with the military or leadership of Nigeria.
