Unemployment in Germany is falling following inflation
Budrigannews.com – According to data released on Tuesday by the Labour Office, unemployment in Germany decreased in December, with the war in Ukraine having only a moderate impact on the labor market as a whole.
According to the Federal Labour Office, the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 13,000 to 2.52 million seasonally adjusted. Reuters polled analysts who anticipated a 15,000 increase in that number.
At 5.5%, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained constant.
“The Russian war against Ukraine has had repercussions, including price increases, uncertainty, and the migration of refugees over the past year. However, in light of the magnitude of the burdens, these have been moderate,” stated Andrea Nahles, head of the Labour Office.
