Budrigannews.com – Palestinians were pleased on Saturday that the United Nations General Assembly voted to request an opinion from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the legal implications of Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories.
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a spokesman for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, stated, “The time has come for Israel to be a state subject to law, and to be held accountable for its ongoing crimes against our people.”
On Twitter, Hussein al-Sheikh, a senior Palestinian official, stated that the vote on Friday “reflects the victory of Palestinian diplomacy.”
