Ukraine’s GDP will fall twice-Prime Minister
Budrigannews.com – Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal was quoted as saying on Tuesday that if Russia continues to attack the national power grid and other critical infrastructure, the country’s economy could shrink by 50% this year.
Since October, Russia has targeted Ukrainian energy facilities with missiles and drones, resulting in nationwide power outages.
Shmyhal was quoted as saying, “The contraction of the Ukrainian economy is projected at the level of 35-40%.” We could lose up to 50% of our GDP if Russia’s terrorist attacks on our infrastructure continue, which amounts to another 10% of our GDP.”

Shmyhal added that the government had estimated that the war’s damage could reach $700 billion by the year’s end. He stated that the economy was suffering in all areas.
