Ukraine will receive up to 140 tanks in the near future

Budrigannews.com – In a “first wave” of deliveries from a coalition of 12 nations, Ukraine will receive 120 to 140 Western tanks, according to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Tuesday.
This month, Kyiv got promises from the West to provide main battle tanks to help stop Russia’s full-scale invasion, and Moscow is making huge efforts to make small progress in eastern Ukraine.
Twelve individuals now make up the tank coalition. During an online briefing, Kuleba stated, “I can note that the Ukrainian armed forces will receive between 120 and 140 Western-model tanks in the first wave of contributions.”
He stated that these tanks would include the American M1 Abrams, the British Challenger 2, and the German Leopard 2, as well as that Ukraine was also “really counting” on an agreement regarding supplies of French Leclerc tanks.
No timetable for any of the deliveries was provided by Kuleba. Training with the tanks will also require time.
According to Kuleba, Kyiv was working behind the scenes to persuade additional nations to supply tanks at a crucial time in the war, according to officials.
He stated:
“We continue to work on both expanding the tank coalition’s membership and increasing the contributions of those who have already pledged.”
In order to reclaim swaths of Russia-occupied territory in the south and east of the country, Kyiv intends to launch a significant counteroffensive.
Kyiv has been instructed by the United States to postpone those plans until Western military assistance arrives in Ukraine.
Russia’s potential launch of a major offensive in the coming weeks or months is another source of concern for Ukraine.
