Ukraine will receive another financial aid from the U. S.

Budrigannews.com – On Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made the announcement that Ukraine and other nations affected by the Russian invasion of its neighbor would receive more than $3.75 billion in military assistance.

In a statement, Blinken said that Washington will support Ukraine by providing it with armored personnel carriers, self-propelled howitzers, surface-to-air missiles, ammunition, and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the package makes the most use of the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA)—$2.8 billion—since Russia’s invasion in February.

In the event of an emergency, this authority enables the United States to quickly transfer defense items such as Humvees, trucks, and munitions from stocks without the need for congressional approval.

According to Jean-Pierre, the assistance consists of surface-to-air missiles, guided multiple launch rocket systems (GMLRS), mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles (MRAPs), anti-vehicle land mines, and ammunition.

A document seen by Reuters indicates that Ukraine will also receive RIM-7 Sea Sparrow missiles, which are used for air defense. Raytheon Technologies (NYSE:) is currently manufacturing the Sea Sparrow. NYSE: General Dynamics Corporation and Corp.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the president of Ukraine, has emphasized the need for enhanced air defenses to thwart Russian missile attacks, which have harmed the country’s energy infrastructure during the winter.

In addition, Germany and the United States have pledged to send Patriot missile systems to deter Russian drone and missile attacks.

According to John Kirby (NYSE:), “This particular PDA package and the Bradley Fighting Vehicles are very important in terms of being able to do what we call combined arms maneuver warfare.” spokesperson for the National Security Council of the White House.

The strategy will be taught to Ukrainian troops starting in the coming weeks.

Since the middle of the 1980s, the armored Bradley has been frequently used by the United States Army to move troops around battlefields. It has a powerful gun. Bradleys are in the thousands in the Army. About fifty are planned by the United States.

“We see every indication that the Russians continue to want to propagate their efforts in the Donbas, particularly around Bakhmut,” Kirby stated. “The fighting in the east, particularly in the Donbas region has been particularly vicious in recent weeks.”

According to Jean-Pierre, the assistance included $225 million in Foreign Military Financing to assist Ukraine in building and modernizing its military.

She stated that an additional $682 million was included in the package for “regional partners and allies on NATO’s eastern flank” to encourage those who have supplied weapons to Ukraine to do so again. They can use the funds from the United States to purchase new equipment.
