Ukraine announced readiness NATO to provide fighter jets

Budrigannews.com – Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the president of Ukraine, stated at a summit that he had heard from several leaders of the European Union that they were prepared to provide aircraft to Kyiv, implying that this would be one of the most significant shifts in Western support for Ukraine to date.
There was no immediate confirmation from any European nations, and Zelenskiy did not provide any additional information regarding the pledges. However, his remarks came during a European tour when there were indications that countries were getting closer to lifting one of the main taboos regarding military aid to Kyiv since Russia invaded Ukraine.
As part of his second trip abroad since Russia attacked his homeland nearly a year ago, he spoke after participating for the first time in the talks of all 27 national EU leaders in Brussels.
“Europe will support us until we win.” Zelenskiy stated at a news conference, “I’ve heard it from a number of European leaders… about the readiness to give us the necessary weapons and support, including the aircraft.” He did not specify the nations.
Prior to that, his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, stated on social media that the issue of long-range weapons and fighter jets for Ukraine had been resolved and that additional information would be provided in due course. He changed his post later to say that the problem “may be resolved.”
Despite all the applause and standing ovations he received during his visit to Brussels, Zelenskiy was informed by European Council chief Charles Michel that the path to EU membership would be long and difficult.
Michel stated, The upcoming days, weeks, and months will be crucial. We must maintain an open mind and continue to offer Ukraine our full support.
Mateusz Morawiecki, the prime minister of Poland, stated that NATO must cooperate with Ukraine regarding jets.
Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, stated that the Ukrainian people would suffer if Britain or other Western nations provided Kyiv with fighter jets and that the distinction between direct and indirect Western involvement in the war was blurring.
According to Russia’s foreign ministry, European nations were accused of covering up who was to blame for the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines last year by attempting to conceal the outcomes of their investigations.
Seymour Hersh, an investigative journalist, wrote that the White House ordered American divers to blow up the pipelines. The claims were not supported by Reuters. They were deemed “utterly false and complete fiction” by the White House.
In the eastern Donetsk region, Russia claimed to have destroyed four Ukrainian artillery depots. According to the Ukrainian military, Russian troops have been conducting offensives in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Novopavlivka, and Vuhledar regions for the past 24 hours.
Serhiy Haidai, the governor of Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk province, which is mostly occupied by Russia, talked about a major new Russian assault around Kreminna, which is in the northern part of the eastern front.
As the Feb. 24 anniversary of the invasion draws near, Kyiv states that it anticipates Moscow to broaden its offensive with a significant push.
According to Zelenskiy:
“France and Germany have the potential to be game changers, and that’s how I see our talks today.” This Russian aggression will end sooner if we acquire heavy long-range weapons and modern aircraft for our pilots as soon as possible.”
