UK inflation rises by more than expected to 2.3% in October

LONDON (Reuters) – British inflation rose to an annual rate of 2.3% in October from 1.7% in September, official figures showed on Wednesday.

A Reuters poll of economists had pointed to a reading of 2.2% as a rise in regulated domestic energy prices added to overall price growth.
