Budrigannews.com – After Russian President Vladimiar Putin’s recent remarks cautioning the West that he was not bluffing when he stated he would be ready to use nuclear weapons to defend Russia, the White House stated on Friday that the United States does not see any reason to alter its nuclear posture.

It is evident that we take those threats very seriously. However, Karine Jean-Pierre, a press secretary for the White House, stated, “We have not seen any reason to adjust our own nuclear posture at this time.”

On Wednesday, Putin explicitly raised the possibility of a nuclear conflict, supported a plan to annex portions of Ukraine, and ordered Russia to mobilize for the first time since World War II.
