U. S. urges citizens to leave Russia urgently

Budrigannews.com – Due to the war in Ukraine and the possibility of arbitrary arrest or harassment by Russian law enforcement, the United States has instructed its citizens to leave Russia right away.
The U.S. embassy in Moscow stated, “U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Russia should depart immediately.” Due to the possibility of wrongful detentions, exercise increased caution.”
The embassy advised, “Do not travel to Russia.”
Several times, the United States has urged its citizens to leave Russia. In September, after President Vladimir Putin ordered a partial mobilization, the most recent such public warning was issued.
According to the embassy, “Russian security services have arrested U.S. citizens on spurious charges,” “selected U.S. citizens in Russia for detention and harassment,” “denied them fair and transparent treatment,” and “convicted them in secret trials or without presenting credible evidence.”
“Russian authorities have opened dubious criminal investigations against U.S. citizens engaged in religious activity and arbitrarily enforce local laws against U.S. citizen religious workers.”
In January, the Federal Security Service (FSB) announced that Russia had opened a criminal case against a citizen of the United States on the suspicion of espionage.
