Investing.com – U.S. stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in NYSE, the lost 0.04%, while the index climbed 0.58%, and the index climbed 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the were NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:), which rose 3.43% or 4.96 points to trade at 149.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:) added 1.53% or 3.42 points to end at 227.61 and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:) was up 1.06% or 4.50 points to 427.85 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:), which fell 2.70% or 4.46 points to trade at 160.67 at the close. Honeywell International Inc (NASDAQ:) declined 2.11% or 4.78 points to end at 221.74 and Nike Inc (NYSE:) was down 1.79% or 1.31 points to 72.00.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 10.45% to 99.26, Super Micro Computer Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 9.36% to settle at 36.45 and Teradyne Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 7.20% to close at 140.00.

The worst performers were Axon Enterprise Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 5.05% to 570.71 in late trade, Palantir Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 4.97% to settle at 75.92 and Essex Property Trust Inc (NYSE:) which was down 4.03% to 272.79 at the close.

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Boxlight Corp Class A (NASDAQ:) which rose 265.22% to 1.68, Scisparc Ltd (NASDAQ:) which was up 102.69% to settle at 1.07 and XTI Aerospace Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 99.52% to close at 0.08.

The worst performers were Real Good Food Company Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 65.16% to 1.25 in late trade, Luna Innovations Incorporated (NASDAQ:) which lost 56.63% to settle at 0.89 and GlucoTrack Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 45.62% to 0.16 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1562 to 1221 and 86 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1701 fell and 1603 advanced, while 115 ended unchanged.

Shares in NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:) rose to all time highs; rising 3.43% or 4.96 to 149.43. Shares in Boxlight Corp Class A (NASDAQ:) rose to 52-week highs; up 265.22% or 1.22 to 1.68. Shares in Luna Innovations Incorporated (NASDAQ:) fell to 5-year lows; down 56.63% or 1.16 to 0.89. Shares in GlucoTrack Inc (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; falling 45.62% or 0.13 to 0.16.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.28% or 7.44 to $2,647.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.81% or 0.60 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.35 to trade at $76.16 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.80% to 1.04, while USD/JPY rose 0.24% to 157.61.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 108.07.
