U. S. imposed sanctions against military procurement companies

Budrigannews.com – On Wednesday, as a result of the conflict in Ukraine, the United States imposed new sanctions on Russia. These sanctions targeted a network that Washington alleged was supplying Russian users with dual-use and military technologies obtained from American manufacturers.
Yury Yuryevich Orekhov, a Russian national, and two of his businesses, Nord-Deutsche Industrieanlagenbau GmbH and Opus Energy Trading LLC, were subject to sanctions, according to the Treasury Department of the United States. Orekhov was accused of acting as a procurement agent.
Wally Adeyemo, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, stated that a broad coalition of allies’ export controls and sanctions had made it more difficult for Russia to acquire “inputs and technologies” for its war.
He stated in a statement, “We know these efforts are having a direct effect on the battlefield, as Russia’s desperation has led them to turn to inferior suppliers and outdated equipment.”
