Budrigannews.com – According to the JMA, the 14th typhoon of the season, which the U.S. Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Center has classified as a super typhoon, could bring record rainfall, posing a threat of landslides and rivers overflowing.
According to the agency’s forecast, the central Tokai region could see 300 millimeters (12 inches) of rain on Sunday, while the southern Kyushu region could see 500 millimeters (20 inches) of rain and wind gusts of up to 250 kilometers per hour (155 miles per hour).
Seven-Eleven Japan, a convenience store chain, has temporarily closed approximately 950 locations as a result of railroad operators canceling trains in the region.
It is predicted that the storm will turn to the east, pass over Japan’s main island of Honshu early next week, and then head out to sea by Wednesday.
