Twitter employees helped leftists in Brazil elections-Musk
Budrigannews.com – On Saturday, Twitter owner Elon Musk said, without providing evidence, he believes that employees of the social media company preferred left-wing candidates in the Brazilian elections.
Musk completed his work on Twitter on October 27 just a couple of days before the official second voting session in the Brazilian market, where the far-right Jair Bolsonaro was defeated by liberal Luis Inasi Lula da Silva. If a user asked how the company’s past management “coped” with the elections, Musk replied on Twitter: “I’ve seen a lot of disturbing reports about Brazil’s past elections.”
The millionaire added: “If these posts are accurate, then it may well be that Twitter employees preferred left-wing candidates.” When Bolsonaro met Musk in Sao Paulo earlier this year, he said that the takeover of Twitter by the American billionaire was a “breath of hope” and a “legend of Freedom.”
Bolsonar and Lul used Twitter extensively in their campaigns. After the second session, a court ruling blocked the accounts of several Bosonaru allies as they questioned the results, including candidate Nicolas Farreira, who won the most votes at the lower level of Congress.
