An update on Twitter’s blog page states, “Twitter is no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy effective November 23, 2022.”CNN first reported the update on Tuesday.
Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for additional information, and it was not immediately clear what specific measures it would eliminate.
Twitter implemented a number of measures in response to the outbreak of COVID in 2020, including a framework for users to remove tweets that made harmfully false claims about vaccines and labels and warning messages on tweets that contained disputed information about the health crisis.
