Budrigannews.com – On Friday, Turkey announced that more than 44,000 people had died in the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6.

According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the number of earthquake-related deaths in Turkey reached 44,218 on Friday night.

The latest death toll from Syria, 5,914, brought the combined death toll from the two countries above 50,000.
