Budrigannews.com – According to a report released on Tuesday by the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER), Swedish businesses have not increased consumer prices beyond what is required by the rising costs they face.
In August, the previous government asked the think tank to investigate whether businesses were increasing prices more than was justified by higher energy and other costs, which have reached 30-year highs this year.
“The principal end is that there are no obvious signs that purchaser costs (CPIF) have ascended by more than can be spurred by expanded creation costs since the second quarter of 2021,” NIER said in an explanation.
