The number of Twitter users is at its maximum
Budrigannews.com – Twitter Inc., as he battles a mass exodus of advertisers and users to other platforms over concerns about verification and hate speech, Chief Executive Elon Musk has stated that new user signups to the social media platform are at an “all-time high.”
Information exchanges were averaging north of 2,000,000 every day over the most recent seven days as of Nov. 16, up 66% contrasted with that very week in 2021, Musk said in a tweet late on Saturday.
He also stated that user active minutes were at an all-time high, with nearly 8 billion active minutes per day on average over the past seven days as of Nov. 15, a 30% increase from the previous week.
As of November 13, there was a decrease in hate speech impersonations compared to October of last year.
Musk claims that reports of impersonations on the platform increased earlier this month, prior to and following the launch of Twitter Blue.
According to a tweet, Musk’s “Twitter 2.0 The Everything App” will include features such as encrypted direct messages (DMs), longform tweets, and payments. Musk, who also owns rocket company SpaceX, brain chip startup Neuralink, and tunneling company The Boring Company, has stated that purchasing Twitter would accelerate his goal to create an “everything app” called X.
Sponsors on Twitter, including large organizations like General Engines (NYSE:),NASDAQ: MondelezWorldwide, Volkswagen AG (OTC:), as they deal with the new boss, they have stopped advertising on the platform.
Musk blames a coalition of civil rights organizations that has been pressuring the platform’s top advertisers to take action if he did not protect content moderation for the “massive drop in revenue” that Twitter was experiencing as a result of the advertiser retreat.
After Musk lifted the ban on tweets from former U.S. president Donald Trump, activists are urging advertisers on Twitter to issue statements stating that they will remove their advertisements from the social media platform.
Following Musk’s ultimatum that employees sign up for “long hours at high intensity” or leave, hundreds of Twitter employees are believed to have quit the struggling company.
Human rights, machine learning ethics, communications, and content curation teams were eliminated as well as some product and engineering teams when the company laid off half its workforce in November.
