The goals of the EU post-pandemic fund will be achieved-Italy
Budrigannews.com – On Friday, according to the Italian Minister of Economic Policy, the state is confident that all the goals of the European Union Fund for Recovery after Coronavirus will be achieved by the end of the year.
Of the approximately 200 billion euros that Italy expects to receive from the EU in 2026, today it receives almost 67 billion euros, or 70.6 billion US dollars.
If the company was able to fulfill 55 tasks and benchmarks set for the second half of 2022, then at the end of the year it will be entitled to receive an additional 19 billion euros.
Giancaralo Giurgetti, Minister of Economic Policy, said at a meeting in Rome: “These days we are constantly working on 55 targets for the second half of 2022 in order to receive a third request for payments to Brussels at the end of December.”
Several government ministers have recently stated that Italy is experiencing difficulties in achieving reform goals and spending funds on a multi-billion euro fund.
On Thursday, EU Economic Commissioner Paolo Giantiloni said that Italy must comply with the deadlines and objectives of the fund’s recovery.
Giorgetti said that we are already on the right track and, of course, we will achieve this goal.
