The Bank of Hungary forecasts inflation of about 20% in 2023

Budrigannews.com – The head of the National Bank of Hungary told a committee of the parliament on Monday that the country’s inflation could be anywhere from 15% to 19 % next year. He also slammed the government’s price caps on fuel, basic food, and mortgage rates.

The bank’s spokesman told Reuters that Governor Gyorgy Matolcsy told the committee that “all price caps should be phased out immediately.”
