Thailand’s inflation forecast is no more than 3% for 2023
Budrigannews.com – According to government spokesperson Traisuree Traisoranakul, the central bank’s headline inflation target of 1% to 3% for 2023 was approved by the cabinet on Tuesday, unchanged from this year.
Every year, the monetary policy target for inflation is evaluated.
In November, headline inflation was 5.55 percent, which was significantly higher than the Bank of Thailand’s target range. This indicates that the BOT will continue to raise its key interest rate to reduce price pressures.
The central bank predicted that headline inflation would average 6.3% this year and then decrease to 3.0% the following year.
