Tesla recalls Model Y due to defect

Budrigannews.com – According to a filing that was made public on Saturday, Tesla Inc. stated that it is recalling 3,470 Model Y vehicles in the United States between the years 2022 and 2023 due to the possibility that bolts securing the frames of the seats in the second row were not securely tightened.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a loose seat frame bolt may decrease the performance of the seat belt system, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
(NASDAQ:) Tesla informed NHTSA that it has identified five warranty claims that may be related to these conditions since December. Tesla stated that it was unaware of any injuries or deaths that might have been caused by the recall problem.
Tesla will inspect and, if necessary, tighten the bolts that hold the lower seat frames to the driver’s and passenger’s side of the second row together.
According to the automaker, a Tesla supplier improved process controls, training, and supervision in December to guarantee that bolts are torqued to specifications.
