Tesla Expanding Beta to Safety Scores Above 80

Tesla (NASDAQ:) CEO, Elon Musk announced on Twitter today that the company will be expanding its Full Self-Driving Beta test to include those customers with a safety score above 80. The expansion will come after the release of version 10.68.2.1.

In a separate tweet, Musk announced “10.69.2.1 coming out in a few days with additional polish, 10.69.3 comes out shortly after AI Day.” AI Day is set to take place in Palo Alto on September 30th.
FSD Beta was originally provided to those who had achieved a perfect 100 Safety Score over more than 7 days and more than 100 miles of driving. Since then, the company has very slowly expanded the Beta pool.
A Tesla safety score is determined by analyzing several metrics including: forward collision warnings, hard breaking, aggressive turning, unsafe following, and forced autopilot disengagements.
