At a time when investors have been concerned that Musk’s distraction with Twitter could hinder the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer’s growth, the first-of-its-kind action by Tesla appeared to be aimed at demonstrating the breadth of its executive team.

As he sat surrounded by sixteen executives, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated, “We’ve obviously got significant bench strength here.”

The following is a list of the executives who appeared on stage at the Tesla factory in Texas:

TOM ZHU, CHIEF OF CHINA AND DIRECTOR OF GLOBE PRODUCTION

Tom Zhu, the head of Tesla China, said that he was in charge of global production, sales, delivery, and service. He also said that he represented all of the “Gigafactories,” which backed up a Reuters report that said he was promoted.

He stressed that Tesla and its suppliers contribute to the Chinese economy and create jobs when asked about political tensions between China and the United States.

Chief Financial Officer ZACH KIRKHORN

At the age of 34, nine years after joining Tesla, he was promoted to CFO. After Tesla made an investment in bitcoin in 2021, he now holds the official title of “Master of Coin of Tesla.”

During his presentation, he stated, “You survive or you die based upon the ability to manage our costs.”

Vice President for Vehicle Engineering, LARS MORAVY.

In 2010, the engineer from Honda joined Tesla. According to his LinkedIn profile, Moravy is in charge of a group of engineers, technicians, and analysts responsible for the design of vehicle hardware.

The native of Chicago predicted that Tesla’s next-generation vehicle would be a “huge volume product,” and the company would “move that quickly over the next couple of years.” He stated that there would be multiple models on Tesla’s next-generation, less expensive platform.

PETE BANNON, HARDWARE ENGINEERING’S VICE PRESIDENT.

Apple in the past (NASDAQ:) The team that makes the Full Self-Driving hardware is led by an engineer. He is a seasoned professional on Tesla’s relatively new executive team.

Senior Vice President Drew BAGLINO

Baglino spoke several times at the Investor Day event because he is in charge of Tesla’s efforts to produce its own batteries, or “4680 cells.” He likewise highlighted at Tesla’s Battery Day in 2020. In 2006, he joined Tesla.

Since October 2019, he has held the position of senior vice president for powertrain and energy engineering.

FRANZ VON HOLZHAUSEN, SECRETARY OF DESIGN,

In 2008, the design director for Mazda North America joined Tesla. In the past, when he took the stage at Tesla’s Cyberturuck unveiling event in 2019, he threw metal balls at the pickup truck’s windows to demonstrate its robust design, only to see them break like webs.

AUTOPILOT SOFTWARE DIRECTOR ASHOK ELLUSWAMY

In 2014, Elluswamy joined Tesla.

Elluswamy went on to say, “Building a scalable self-driving system is one of the hardest real-world AI problems out there.”

She stated that half of Tesla’s 129,000 employees work in manufacturing.

She added that Tesla is encouraging factory workers to suggest safety enhancements. The company has been criticized for firing dozens of New York-based employees a day after launching a unionization campaign.
