Tesla Announces Record Car Sales
Budrigannews.com – Tesla Inc. reported record production and deliveries for the fourth quarter of electric vehicle deliveries on Monday. However, the company fell short of Wall Street estimates due to lingering logistics issues and slowing demand in the face of rising interest rates and fears of a recession.
Refinitiv data indicate that the world’s most valuable automaker delivered 405,278 vehicles in the final three months of the year, exceeding Wall Street expectations of 431,117 vehicles.
During the same time last year, the company had delivered 308,600 vehicles.
(NASDAQ:) Tesla compared to 17,147 Model X and Model S luxury cars, delivered 388,131 Model 3 compact sedans and Model Y sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
In the fourth quarter, the automaker produced a total of 439,701 automobiles.
