Telecom reports on profit growth and revision of forecasts for increase

Budrigannews.com – Deutsche Telekom The German telecomms operator provided guidance for slightly higher earnings this year, and its fourth-quarter earnings came in slightly above consensus on Thursday.
The quarter’s adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization after leases (EBITDA AL) totaled 10.58 billion euros, exceeding analyst consensus estimates of 9.9 billion euros, according to the company’s poll.
The telecom operator’s quarterly revenue fell short of consensus estimates of 30.0 billion euros, rising by 4% to 29.8 billion euros.
Telekom reported EBITDA AL of 40.2 billion euros, an increase of 7.7% from the previous year, and revenue of 114.4 billion euros for the entire year 2022.
The company stated that it now anticipates an adjusted EBITDA AL of over 40.8 billion euros for the fiscal year 2023.
