Tax reform has come to the attention of the new Brazilian government
Budrigannews.com – Fernando Haddad, a close aide to Brazil’s incoming president-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and a former mayor of Sao Paulo, stated on Friday that Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva would give “full priority” to implementing a tax reform early in his term.
At an event hosted by banking lobbyist Febraban, Haddad, who has recently emerged as the front-runner to be finance minister, also stated that Lula would investigate the prompt resumption of trade agreements that have been “sitting on the shelf,” such as Mercosur’s agreement with the European Union.
