Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the gained 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 9.96% or 1.25 points to trade at 13.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.90% or 7.20 points to end at 79.90 and Kinpo Electronics Inc (TW:) was up 9.90% or 2.90 points to 32.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Mercuries Life Insurance Co Ltd (TW:) declined 4.30% or 0.30 points to end at 6.68 and Shining Building Business Co Ltd (TW:) was down 4.27% or 0.50 points to 11.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 9.96% or 1.25 to 13.80. Shares in Kinpo Electronics Inc (TW:) rose to all time highs; up 9.90% or 2.90 to 32.20.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.93% or 0.66 to $70.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.87% or 0.65 to hit $73.98 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.70% or 46.65 to trade at $2,690.55 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.43% to 32.44, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.45% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 106.95.
