Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.49%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Chia Ta World Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 1.60 points to trade at 17.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Eson Precision Ind Co Ltd (TW:) added 10.00% or 5.70 points to end at 62.70 and Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) was up 10.00% or 5.60 points to 61.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which fell 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Prime Electronics & Satellitics Inc (TW:) was down 6.08% or 1.20 points to 18.55.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell to all time lows; down 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90. Shares in Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 10.00% or 5.60 to 61.60.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.27% or 0.18 to $67.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $71.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.10 to trade at $2,615.80 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.36% to 31.84, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.36% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 100.51.
