Taiwan stocks higher at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted up 0.33%

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the gained 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the were Global Brands Manufacture Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.97% or 6.30 points to trade at 69.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Universal Inc (TW:) added 9.90% or 2.85 points to end at 31.65 and Spirox Corp (TW:) was up 9.89% or 6.20 points to 68.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Chroma ATE Inc (TW:), which fell 9.94% or 39.00 points to trade at 353.50 at the close. Goldsun Building Materials Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.90% or 5.20 points to end at 47.30 and Asia Optical Co Inc (TW:) was down 5.90% or 10.50 points to 167.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.34% or 0.25 to $73.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.37% or 0.28 to hit $76.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 9.54 to trade at $2,645.16 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.02% to 32.94, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 108.76.
