Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 1.31%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Madrid, the gained 1.31% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:), which rose 5.43% or 2.40 points to trade at 46.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (BME:) added 2.62% or 1.04 points to end at 40.70 and Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:) was up 2.31% or 1.24 points to 54.92 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:), which fell 2.12% or 0.43 points to trade at 19.87 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:) declined 1.71% or 1.10 points to end at 63.10 and Acciona (BME:) was down 1.50% or 1.80 points to 118.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 116 to 73 and 25 ended unchanged.

Shares in ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:) rose to all time highs; rising 5.43% or 2.40 to 46.60. Shares in Ferrovial (BME:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.62% or 1.04 to 40.70.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.43% or 11.51 to $2,670.01 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.02% or 2.06 to hit $70.16 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.71% or 1.95 to trade at $73.78 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 106.22.
