Spain facilitates the issuance of loans, what will change?
Budrigannews.com – The Spanish government expects vulnerable households and middle-class customers to reveal details of the mortgage bailout measures to cope with the rising borrowing costs of such loans at the next cabinet meeting, Spain’s economy minister said on Tuesday.
Nadia Calvino told reporters that the government and banks are finalizing work to expand and improve existing industry-wide good practice norms for that purpose.
“We hope that an agreement will be reached within the next few hours,” Calvino said at a joint press conference with European Union (E u) antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager.
Calvino said the government and lenders were also working on measures to help middle-class families who could be at risk as a result of an accelerated rate rise by the European Central Bank and higher mortgage rates.
